Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial title for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid year, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
The win also means he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial tour title, took control to force a third set.
Moutet saved four early break points in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
